Build on safety. Build on yourself.

Matthäi Group takes part in the prevention programme of the Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry.

The issue of occupational safety is particularly important on construction sites, and with good reason. Places where people are handling heavy machinery, appliances and construction materials need clear rules. Therefore, all the processes and procedures at Matthäi have been assessed with respect to their safety for many years and implemented accordingly. The company considers joining the prevention programme of the Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry to be another logical step towards keep all the employees permanently engaged with this issue.

Naturally, the Matthäi Group has been following elaborate and certified safety concepts for some time and has been extremely successful with these. However, signing the operational declaration clearly signalises that the Group is not resting on its laurels, but would like to be constantly moving forward with regard to safety. The managing partner, Andreas Höttler, explains the reasons for taking part in the prevention programme as follows: “a high level of safety is not only achieved by a communication from the top down or by individual employees. It results from being practised from the inside out – by and with each individual employee. The declaration that we have signed at the Employers’ Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry can be accessed everywhere in our company. This underlines the importance of the issue and sharpens our focus on it. We do not consider safety to be a short-term issue. We see it as an ongoing mission.”
